Vectric V Carve & Aspire CNC - Making My Cloakroom Cupboard Door It's been a while since I last posted a video...life gets in the way sometimes, but this was a nice little project to get me back into the swing of things. I recently built a downstairs cloakroom and needed a pair of doors for the water heater cupboard. It was the perfect excuse to load up Vectric and get back on the CNC :-) Speci...

Can You REALLY Remove Dents From Wood With An Iron A question I often see on the Woodworking Facebook groups is how do you remove dents from wood. Came here from your video about the EVolution R210SMS-300+ saw ... a direct link in the "... more" there would have helped! 🙂 Unlike some of the commenters there I had no issues at all with the music or levels and that's something I'm usually fairly conscious of. I listen through headphones and will turn the sound down/off or even take off the headphones if the "music" is bad enough - it wasn't! How's the saw now? And the timber workshop? Warm enough in winter? Any condensation issues? We've had an Evo mitre saw that's just died, probably through an ongoing condensation problem in the (some single, some double-skin but no cavity) workshop, so I'm looking for ways to properly resolve it.

Hi. My music gets a lot of comments...mostly bad :-( but I make it all myself from scratch so I guess I have to take the criticism on board whether it's good or bad and try and improve for the next time. The saw still works well although it does need a good clean and a new blade. I tend to only use it for the jobs where accuracy isnt vital...but its been great for cutting outside when my other saw is to big or heavy. The shed/workshop is doing well. theres no heating in there so in winter its obviously cool...but no issues with condensation. In summer it's not too bad either as I have a UV sheet on the door so that stops most of the heat. I have another channel (smugwood mini) where ive had a car restored and quite often either use the workshop or film outside it...and from what I can see it doesnt look much different. It may look different soon though as im having a change around of machines and hoping to get my cnc in there...its just a bit heavy to lift through the door thats all :-)

It probably wont last as long as the hardwood did, but it's nice to be able to use it again. Maybe a coat of paint every year might prolong things :-) Does look a lot better though.

I have made several such necks using a straight up 1" round over bit. BIG ol' boat necks but they feel SO GOOD. They are so beefy that I have made several with NO truss-rod like the very first original Fender necks. 5 years and they still hold up with no warp whatsoever. Best playing and sound necks I have ever played. You do need to learn to shape the transition from neck to heal and head to get that smooth V transition. But other than that, looks pretty good.

Clarke is made by Ingersoll. I have the AC 2002 oiled 4 gallon air compressor myself and it is a very well made unit that is capable of 5 cfm at 90 PSI. Weighs about 100 pounds though and it heavy as heck. Barely portable but is a nice unit that is very capable with any shop air tool.

I just finished building the handrail on my deck ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxfQ5_mgwq6PcudJvAH25t-I4D-3cTPz4z and used this great little router to clean up the top rail before the final sanding and stain. It was light weight but packed lots of power. Either size battery didn't seem to make it top heavy and I'm a 64 yr old women so I really appreciated how easy it was to use...................... CORDLESS only way to go !!
